Dr Chris Platts holds a PhD examining the lives of 303 young players and is the author of the largest independent study into career trajectories, having followed those players for over 10 years. He works with young players and their families to help them predict the future, plan their careers and reduce the negative stress that impacts performance. His mission: put career guidance data in the hands of every young player — because the clubs use it, so why shouldn't you?
YEM — Your Empowered Mindset
Tristian is the founder of YEM (Your Empowered Mindset) and provides independent player care covering mindset and wellbeing. A qualified Trauma-Informed Practitioner with a diploma in Combined Psychology & CBT, he serves as Head of Player Care at The New Saints FC. His approach is "theory-light, practical-heavy" — giving players usable tools immediately, not long lectures. At Street Trials, Tristian ensures every player is supported as a person, not just assessed as a footballer.
Ethan is a performance analyst currently working in an academy setting at Altrincham Football Club. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching from University Academy 92 and is studying towards an MSc in Performance Analysis in Football at UCFB. His skills include tactical and opposition analysis, video clipping, and data interpretation. At Street Trials, Ethan handles match filming, player highlights, and performance data to ensure every trialist's ability is captured and presented to clubs.
Conor Clews is the general manager and figurehead of player recruitment. With a strong background in coaching and player development, Conor holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching from University Academy 92 and has completed multiple coaching badges. Conor is familiar with professional football club facilities and has significant experience running high-level football tournaments. He has collaborated with experienced coaches from top clubs such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Salford City and Everton, gaining valuable insight into elite environments. His academic work includes a dissertation examining player welfare within professional clubs. Additionally, he has been recognised in the media, appearing on Channel 4 News to discuss coaching footballers and development.
